Beyonce and Jay-Z have reason to celebrate as it has been reported that their joint tour has grossed $100 million. Each of their 19 shows has hit at least 90% capacity, which equates to 850,000 fans. Beyonce and Jay-Z have been touring the United States since June and will round out the tour with two September dates in Paris.
The news should give the couple something to celebrate about, as rumours continue to circulate that their marriage is all but over.
Last week, Page Six reported that crisis meetings were held between Beyoncé, Jay-Z, LiveNation and HBO as it became unclear whether the tour could continue amidst their marriage troubles.
TMZ acquired a transcript of Kanye West’s sworn deposition in the case that accuses him of beating a photographer and smashing his camera. Among other things, Kanye swears under oath, “I’m the smartest celebrity you’ve ever f***ing dealt with. I’m not Britney Spears.”
In the deposition, he equates the struggle of celebrities to the civil rights struggle of the 1960s. He also explained that he’s in “the business of making dope sh*t” and when asked where he lived, he replied, “Earth.”
West is currently being sued by the photographer for assault and battery.
Olivia Wildewas photographed breastfeeding her son for Glamour. The actress explained to the magazine, “Being shot with Otis is so perfect because any portrait of me right now isn’t complete without my identity as a mother being a part of that. Breast-feeding is the most natural thing.”
As for people feeling uncomfortable with images of women breastfeeding? Wilde isn’t having any of it. “You can be someone who is at once maternal and professional and sexy and self-possessed,” she said.
